Although the decor is basic and the furniture seems a bit dated, it's acceptable for a short stay. The service has its ups and downs, ranging from distant and unhelpful to incredibly apologetic and accommodating. The location is excellent for access to East Midlands Airport and the river Trent, but the surroundings may seem somewhat unkempt. The dining options are good overall, though some items may not be freshly prepared. The facilities offer the essentials for a convenient stay.
